Data Source

To start exploring your data, you must add it to the Promptbook by uploading a file or connecting your database. Click the “+” icon in the left sidebar panel under the “Data” tab, then choose from the available database integrations or upload a new data file. You can also drag and drop a file into the sidebar or select the “clip” icon within a step. Once added, data sources will automatically be added in each step of your Promptbook.

Data browsing and preview

After attaching data to your Promptbook, you can easily preview the schema and contents of the tables. For database integrations, select the data source from the left sidebar panel to load the database schema, including all available views, folders, and tables.

To preview a table - whether from a database integration or an uploaded CSV file - select it from the left sidebar panel. A table preview window will open, displaying the table’s columns and rows. For database connections, you can preview the first 100 rows and for CSV files, you can preview the entire table.
